INDICATIONS

MOVICOL^® is indicated for the relief of constipation and the treatment of chronic constipation.

MOVICOL^® is also the only oral medication indicated and currently available in pharmacies for the treatment of faecal impaction.

MOVICOL^® Adult 30 sachets includes MOVICOL^® (Lemon-Lime flavour), MOVICOL Flavour Free and MOVICOL^® Chocolate flavour. All flavours are interchangeable on the PBS.

Restricted benefit, 1+5 repeats

Chronic constipation or faecal impaction not adequately controlled with first line interventions such as bulk forming agents

Constipation in patients with malignant neoplasia

Paraplegic and quadriplegic patients and others with severe neurogenic impairment of bowel function not responding to other oral therapies

Patients receiving palliative care

PBS AUTHORITY - PALLIATIVE CARE

Authority (streamlined)

Initial supply (for up to 4 months) for palliative care patients where constipation is a problem (2+3 repeats)

Continuing supply for a palliative care patient where constipation is a problem (2+0 repeats)
